About the exhibition
"Operation Dragon" is a unique VR experience at the Defence Museum Boden that takes you 100 years back in time to experience a balloon flight over Boden Fortress. During the experience, you are welcomed by a balloon soldier and step into a virtual balloon basket for an ascent to 400 meters above Degerbergsfortet, where a training exercise is underway. The journey also includes unexpected events and adventures.
To enhance the sense of realism, participants sit in a motorized chair that simulates the balloon’s movements, providing a more immersive and tangible experience.
